Visiting ARCM

Location – The Asian Research Center for Migration (ARCM) is located in the 9-storey Prachadhipok-Rambai Barni Building on the campus of Chulalongkorn University, in mid-Bangkok.

Nearby points of interest include a number of major shopping centers, including Siam Square, Siam Paragon Mall, and Mah Boon Krong Plaza. Other nearby landmarks include the Royal Bangkok Sports Club, a historic private club and race course, Chulalongkorn Hospital, a world-class training and research hospital with including out-patient facilities.

Local transport – The Chulalongkorn University campus is readily accessible by urban public transport (Sky Train, underground rail, bus, and taxi). The following maps in English and Thai provide detailed directions. Those maps, as well as the following ARCM address card (in Thai and English), can be printed out to assist visitors in seeking local travel assistance.

Accommodations – Bangkok has a thriving tourist accommodations industry. Many hotels and guest houses in a wide variety of price ranges are located within easy distance (by public transport) from the Chulalongkorn University campus. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) website ( offers a many choices.

Chulalongkorn University contains limited accommodation facilities for visitors. When available, these can be booked with the assistance of ARCM staff. It is recommended that prospective visitors contact the ARCM by telephone or fax to seek such accommodations assistance if required.
